Admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1965, Edward Henneke has nearly 50 years experience in trial practice, with a focus on civil, probate and municipal law. He has spent his entire career in Genesee County, working first as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and later, in 1967, as City Attorney for the City of Flushing.
In his trial practice, Edward has represented numerous insurance carriers. In 1969, he co-founded the firm today known as Henneke, Fraim and Dawes as an insurance defense firm. Over time, he brought several talented younger attorneys into the firm, and our practice areas diversified with their skills and expertise.
Edward has an extensive estate planning and probate practice. He has also served as a Circuit Court Case Evaluator/Mediator since 1978.
Edward is very active in civic, community and church activities, including service to the Township of Flushing, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals. He has served in his church as a Senior Warden and currently serves as a vestry member and lay reader. Edward has also been an active speaker on legal matters before various community groups and at State Bar of Michigan Association ICLE seminars.
Edward was awarded the Genesee County Bar Association Case Evaluator of the Year in 2006 and the Pro Bono Award of the Year in 2008. He has received an AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory.
Edward enjoys spending time with his wife Donna, his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren, two of whom he is proud to practice law with in our firm.
