With over thirty nine years in practice, Scott Fraim offers clients of Henneke, Fraim & Dawes, P.C. a wealth of legal experience. Scott’s degrees are in Business Administration, a Juris Doctor with an emphasis on business matters, and a Master of Laws in Taxation.
Scott represents numerous businesses from small partnerships to large corporations. His clients are located throughout Michigan and across the United States, and include corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, limited partnerships, and professional associations. He assists his clients in the formation and operations of their business entities, including matters involving contracts, organizational structure, employment, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning and representation, and licensing and regulation.
Scott counsels his clients on the avoidance of unnecessary litigation. When litigation is unavoidable, he offers them his extensive courtroom experience. Scott has protected his clients’ interests in both state and federal courts, including federal bankruptcy and tax courts, the Michigan Tax Tribunal, and the Michigan Business Courts. He has also argued numerous times before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. Scott regularly appears on his clients’ behalf in arbitration proceedings and mediations.
In addition to advocating for clients, Scott has himself served as a mediator and arbitrator for numerous business and commercial disputes. He also has an active estate planning practice. His keen understanding of finance and tax laws have been invaluable to him in work with estate planning, business succession planning, and business sales and acquisitions.
A lifelong resident of Genesee County and the Flint area, Scott has always been active in community affairs.
